Greetings! My name is Will Johnson, i'm an independent playwright and director based out of Minneapolis, & I have been writing/directing work through Not Applicable since 2019. Some works of mine that have been produced include Phoenix Rising (2020), Hue: A Series of Vignettes (2022), Chrysialis (2023), Somewhere, Someone Meditates (2023), & Holy Matrimony! (2025). Each of said productions were crafted and produced out of homes that myself and collaborators have lived in throughout the years, creating a one of a kind showcase of intimate storytelling. Not Applicable has provided me with a space to express myself, connect with my community through art, and explore aspects of humanity with care and curiosity, a privilege I cannot begin to express proper gratitude for. When I’m not producing theater, you can usually find me walking along the Mississippi river, watching movies and critiquing them online, or cooking a large meal for the people closest to me.

Hi! My name is Simon Shepard and I am the resident stage manager for NA Productions. I’ve worked on every show except for Phoenix Rising, and think the best part of it all is working with my friends towards a common goal. I love working on smaller scale shows on a lower budget because it challenges us to think outside the box, and come up with solutions that are both original and benefit the show at the same time. When I'm not working on shows, you can find me behind the paper counter at Wet Paint, the art supply store I work at, or at home painting, watching movies, or enjoying a nice pint of Guinness.
